GO PLAY DADDY!

July 18th - How can you tell if you are bothering Avery? How can you tell if you are annoying Avery? How can you tell when Avery wants you to go away? She says "Go play Daddy" or "Go Play Mommy". Just recently she has started telling us to "Go Play" if we are doing something she doesn't want us to do. So if you hear Avery tell you to go play then you know you are doing something she doesn't want you to do. Be warned.

PLAYING IN THE RAIN

July 16th - Sometimes I feel like I take life to seriously. One of the reasons I love being a Mom is because I see how simple things can be so much fun and I really do feel like a kid again when I'm with Avery.

On Friday we went out to dinner and when we left it was raining. When we got home Avery wanted to play in the rain. The rain caused the temperature to drop and it felt really good. So I decided to go out and play with her. We had such a good time. Here's to always jumping in puddles when it is raining and learning to have more fun in life!

I DO IT MYSELF MOMMY!

July 9th – Avery seems to want to do everything herself. She wants to dress herself, wash her own face, wash me while I give her a bath, I mean everything. You name it and she wants to try and do it herself. I really want to raise Avery to be independent but when you have to leave the house at a certain time this independence can make you crazy.

Avery in her PJs after I helped her.
Avery in her PJs. She put the shirt on all by herself. The shirt is inside out and I think she is trying to look cute with one shoulder out. But she did put on her shirt and shorts all by herself. She was really proud and so was I.
Do you remember the first time you looked at your child and saw that they might possibly become someone you didn’t want them to become? That happened to me this weekend. I don’t really care what Avery is when she grows up as long as she is happy (well I guess I mean that within reason). I don’t really care what college she attends as long as she goes and gets a good education. I do however have a problem with her being a Duke fan. I mean there are so many Duke Fans out there, we really don’t need anymore. Plus I don’t know if I can live with two of them. David has a Duke Bobble head and for some strange reason Avery has decided this is her baby and she carries it around as if it was a baby doll. I apparently don’t have enough State gear around the house. That is going to change, NOW!

Avery and her baby. You can't tell from this picture but it is a Duke Bobble head. Not really sure what she sees in this baby!

4TH OF JULY

Happy 4th of July. I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday. My Mom and Richard come to visit and we headed to my Grandma's house. My Grandma's sister (Aunt Betty) celebrated her 80th birthday on the 4th, so happy birthday to my most favorite Aunt Betty. Below are some pictures from our weekend.

This is Avery's first 4th of July. She is not even a month old in this picture. I just love this picture b/c she is such a fire cracker.

We took Avery to visit the "Moos" as she calls them. This was the first time the cows were not by the house so we took her to see them and she got to ride in the back of the truck with me...just like I used to do with my Grandpa.

Avery and I in the back of the truck. Instead of saying cheese, we said Moo.

Grandmommy, Granddaddy and Avery. On Saturday we went to live music in the square in Lindon. We had a great time looking at all the people and dancing.

Granny and papa had a great time as well.
