NCSU BASKETBALL IS BACK!

November 5th – 7th: Last weekend I went home to attend the first NCSU basketball game of the season. It just so happened that they were playing my Dad’s alma mature, Tennessee Tech University (TTU). The game was exciting and my Dad and I had a great timing pulling against each other. I really do think the TTU basketball team could hear him cheering from his seat, though it didn’t help because NCSU won. After the game we headed to Pinehurst, NC so my Dad could attend a golf tournament. Ann, my Step Mom and I had a great time at the Spa while my Dad played golf. This was my first trip to Pinehurst and I really enjoyed it. Below are some pics from the weekend.

Me and my favorite quarterback, Philip Rivers. We went to NCSU at the same time so we are officially best friends.

Dad and I in front of Carter Finley Stadium where the Wolfpack play football.

The Pinehurst hotel where the Masters have been played and Ann and I enjoyed the spa.

NEW YORK

November 4th -7th: I spent the weekend in NY visiting my sister. It was my first trip since she moved there 3 years ago. We had a great time, Friday we spent the day in the city shopping. We went to the King Tut exhibit and I got to meet some of her friends for dinner. Saturday we hung around Brooklyn (where she lives) and went to Prospect Park, which is near her house. Sunday we went shopping in Chinatown (for fake brand name purses) and I took a tour at the Tenement Museum, where she works. I had such a good trip and really enjoyed seeing my sister in her element. I can't wait to go back again soon!

This was my 5th or 6th trip to NY so I didn't take many pictures. Here is the Chrysler building.

The style in NY is 80s. Everywhere I turned I saw clothes from Flashdance to Michael Jackson jackets. Julie and I are walking around and we turn a corner and see this sign. I couldn't help but laugh. This rounds out the whole 80s era. I have to admit I loved Pee-Wee Herman.

On Saturday when we were walking around Brooklyn I looked to my left while waiting to cross the street and saw this awesome sight. In case you can't see it is the Statue of Liberty.

A monument to the soldiers who lost their lives in the civil war stands in front of Prospect Park. A little history. Prospect Park was designed by the same guy who did Central Park. I learned that from Julie while we were walking through it.

Julie and I at dinner on Saturday. Unfortunatly this is the only photo I got of us. I had another one but it got deleted by someone other than me. Must of happened when Julie was taking the below picture?!?!

Me falling asleep on the Subway Saturday night. I was exhausted from two days of walking, a great dinner and some great wine.

LET'S GO BOWLING

October 30th - The bowling alley where David and I play had a Halloween party. We decided to take Avery since she is fascinated with bowling. Below are some pictures from the day.

This was Avery's first time in a bouncy thing. She wasn't sure what to think about it. Most of the time she just sat there while we kept trying to show her what to do. She only started jumping in it when some other kids joined her. Guess we need to visit more bouncy things.

Avery got to ride a pony.

Below is a video of Avery bowling her first game. She loved it. I was really impressed because after watching it a couple of times she was able to get her own ball and carry it to the kiddy contraption. I'm thinking bowling scholarship.
